Sebs had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago. He was going down the basement stairs to check on the laundry when he tripped and fell down the last six steps. He was able to get up to sit on the bottom step, but he couldn't climb the stairs. Luckily, he had his cell phone to call Lillian, who lives next door. He came out of it with only a sprained ankle, praise the Lord.
Charlotte and Lysander (a journalist) recently adopted a young Arabian girl named Aaliyah. While Lysander was in Saudi Arabia recently he heard Aaliyah's story and asked Charlotte to adopt her. A few months later Aaliyah was ready to come to America.
Sure enough, Colin dumped Alex for another guy two years ago. Alex hasn't done much dating since then. He is a senior in college and plans to become a security guard.
Toria has begun dating a hand-to-hand combat instructor at the local army training base, Trent Rogers. He is five years her senior, but he seems to be a responsible man, and Toria is a mature young woman. Toria was already training to become a police officer when she and Trent met and is benefiting from his knowledge. She hopes to work in the city.
Weston is dating the daughter of a Scottish-American liason, Iona Breckenridge. She is a delightful girl and seems fascinated by American culture, and we are glad to have her around.
Lucian and Serenity have gotten married and had an adorable little boy, Neil Lachlan.
Jasmine is dating Gerard Noble, the bass guitarist of an up-and-coming rock band. Jasmine and Gerry were casual friends in high school, and Gerry looked her up when he came back to visit his parents. Gerry's fellow band members (Dillon Frost, Noah Moon, Macario Moreno, and Fintan Dolan) often hand out around the house, and they have become almost like family themselves. Dillon, the lead guitarist, went the same high school as Jasmine and Gerry; he was in the grade below them. Noah, the back-up vocalist, attended the arch enemy school of Jasmine's school; he and Gerry met in college. Mac, the drummer, is from Spain; he immigrated with his single mother when he was nineteen. Fintan is Irish-American and is the lead singer of the band, named "Black Defiance" from Fintan's surname. (Ironically, their first song was called "White Fire" from Fintan's first name.) Fintan is the only one who isn't finished college.
Alastair is dating Gerry's younger sister, Galatea. Tea is in her second year of law school and plans to become a lawyer. Although she was in the grade below Alastair in high school and they were in the same year of college and then law school, they never spoke until Jasmine and Gerry began to date. (It's guh-LASHE-ee-uh "TEE-uh".)
Tic is dating one of his classmates, Christina Sykes. Christina is going to be a physical therapist assistant (the person who actually works with the patients). She is a very down-to-earth girl, which Tic really needs!
Ashton is dating a woman named Eloree Ellsworth. Eloree is a journalist for some big-name newspaper that we really don't have the mental capacity to remember the name of. (We have how many grandkids and great-grandkids to keep track of?)
