Lavender

The thing is that the name Lavender doesn't have a nickname. Well you could call her Leni as someone suggested but Leni isn't really a nickname for Lavender. It seems kind of weird naming a child Lavender and calling her Leni, it's like naming her Hyacinth and calling her Sue, it just doesn't make sense.

The only nicknames you get from Lavender are Lala and Wendy (but even those don't really make sense). If you are really trying so hard to find a nickname I'd wonder if you really like the name Lavender or if you prefer another name.

Lavvie or Lav. Vendy would also be cute.

Lavender is a beautiful name! Maybe very casually she could be called Lav by people close to her but generally I would think no nn. Lav does bring to mind an airplane bathroom but I think if a friend or daughter was named Lavender, the plant would come to mind above anything else

When I had this in my top 5 the nicknames I used (and would probably use for real) were Lally and Lalla.

Is it important to you?
I think nicknames develop over the time, and if your child has a name that doesn't "have" good nicknames, you'll come up with some other cute nickname that isn't directly related to your child's name eventually.
So, I wouldn't even bother to look for nicknames...
They only become important to ME if I hate them and don't want my child to be called this. That's the case with German Olivia, which I like, and its common nickname Olli, which I absolutely loathe.

Lavender is not the easiest name for nns but you cant use Lav or Lavvy as they are a short form of lavatory (just checking that you knew this - may only be a UK thing, I'm not sure)
