[Opinions] Re: Timothy...
I like it a lot. It's a beautiful name.
In Germany the name Timothy isn't common too. The reason could be the 'th' in the name which is quite difficult to pronounce for most Germans. We use names like Tim, Timo (Tee-moh) or Timon (Tee-mon) instead. But I like Timothy the most.

Timo...I have a cousin named Timo! My brother is named Timothy and he's only 2 months older than Timo, and I always found it a little odd that my aunt used Timo right after Timothy was born.I've always thought Timo sounds much cooler than Timothy. I don't know if it's because I love names ending in "o" (Milo, Hugo, Dino, Philo, etc) or if it's because my cousin is significantly cooler than my dorky little brother.
They will see us waving from such great heights,
'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

Maybe your aunt already decided on the name Timo when your brother was born and didn't want to change it. I would understand it if the name was one of her absolutely favourites.Well, about Timo and Timothy. I like the pronounciation of Timothy. It flows so well. But I don't care about Timo on the other side. Maybe because I know a Timo who is a little bit weird.I also like names ending in "o" but I prefer names like Leandro and Fabio.
