I really like it. It's sounds strong, which translates to 'harsh' for a girl's name, but it's beautiful to me. Underused, with a nice history and meaning. The most common variant I see is Bridie. I've known about four Bridies (one spelt Brydie) of various ages from around 8-35. I've only ever known one Bridget.
