Ada Ffion Evans (16)
At 16, Ada is quite striking with huge red hair (seriously, she puts about three tins of hair-spray in every morning) and dull green eyes (like her father's). A little too striking, perhaps - she's currently four months pregnant with what will (hopefully) be our first grandchild. She's currently favouring Ribbon for a boy (after her favourite band's lead singer, Ribbon Whitely of Sped To Glass and Misery for a girl. I'm hoping this is just four-month-madness, but you never know with Ada. She's the one that named the fish Tyre-Factory.
Jim Anthony Evans (14)
Jim is hyperactive, or "outgoing", as his counseller says. A pain in the arse, either way. He's inheritated his dad's face, pretty much - he's the spitting image, I swear - with my blue eyes. His hair is quite a dark brown, but he shaves it all off now, in an attempt to look like a thug. He looks really cute when it grows back. He likes playing football and rugby and hockey...in fact, he'll do anything that will allow him to wade around in six inches of mud, getting his PE kit dirty.
Steven Vincent Evans (14)
Steven - or "Ven" as he's taking to calling himself - is your average poetic, long-haired, mooning-about-in-the-background type. He likes to strut around with an anthology of Edgar Allan Poe tucked under his arm, and a fountain pen behind his ear. Ven's girlfriend Verity is no better - one of those deep, meaningful ones who's constantly penning poetry about the pain of adolescene. They've both dyed their hair black as some kind of bonding ritual. You would never guess that Ven and Jim are identical twins - one's big and lumbering, one's thin and quiet.
Rose Burney Evans (12)
Our darling Rose, the sweet one that's never any fuss - except over her middle name. Rose is currently trying to sue us for naming her after a extremely large Texan (Chris Burney of Bowling For Soup). She's already started proceeds to change her name (she's going for Rose Maria Andrea Evans - such a lovely girl for wanting to honour her parents) and wants the money to pay for that (and a ps10). Rose has blue eyes and the longest straight brown hair. Ever.
Lachlan Lexus Evans (8)
Lockie is a sweet, shy little thing with long, dark brown hair and blue eyes. He enjoys nothing more than to sit in his room, listening to his Anthorpe Jordan-Rivett CDs and drawing pictures of hats. He wants to design head-wear when he's older, which would explain a lot.
Jennifer Delilah Evans (3) (Brown hair, green eyes)
Brown haired, green eyed Jennifer is an extremely lively three-year-old, who I fear is taking after Jim. Her favourite activites inclue spreading liquid substances on the walls, climbing on top of the TV and spiralling into her older siblings/parents.
Lily August Evans (3)
I wish I could say Lily was the complete opposite of Jennifer, but she isn't. Luckily, Lily isn't quite as crazy as her identical, but she's still pretty wild. She prefers to put herself in danger, rather than other people, though. Just last week I found her wandering out into the middle of the road, on Ven's skateboard (it's part of his poetic skater look). She wanted to see if the cars would give her "air", like on Tony Hawk's Underground 17. Luckily, I stopped her in time. Just.
Eve Tuesday Evans (3)
Eve hasn't uttered a word since her third birthday. The doctor is baffled - she is perfectly able to talk, she just won't. She spends most of her time sitting in the corner, glaring at people with her big brown eyes. She has little (red) hair at the moment, because Jennifer, in a moment of extreme madness, cut it off.
Faith Meadow Evans (3)
Faith is Eve's identical twin sister. She's the only normal one out of the four girls, if you ask me. She's besotted with Lockie, and follows him around everywhere, which means she's usually sitting outside his bedroom door, listening to old Anthorpe. She's almost word perfect on "Twisted Musings, Can You Hear Me?".
Joseph Caspian (3)
Joseph licks the wallpaper. I kid you not. He's spends most hours of the day devouring my vinyl. He has all this amazing red hair and blue eyes. Reminds me of me.
George Valerian (3)
George, Joseph's identical twin brother, is into fish, vans and dresses. He really likes wearing his sister's dresses. I let him - at that age, it's a wonder he can put clothes on, never mind clothes intended for someone of a different sex.
Tyre-Factory (10)
Despite being 10, Tyre-Factory is still with us. A black-and-orange Plattie, he was recently joined by a young female companion (UPV), but he's yet to show much of an interest.
So there you have the Evans...Andrew, Daisy, Ada, Jim, Ven, Rose, Lockie, Jennifer, Lily, Eve, Faith, Joseph, George & Tyre Factory.
