It sounds like "maximum", so I immediately think of school yard teasing. To be honest, I don't think it's a good name at all.

I really like it. I recently saw a Luna Maxima in a German birth announcement and thought that that was very pretty.

Utterly gorgeous, as long as the stress falls on the first syllable. I fear some might mispronounce it as "max-EE-muh" which sounds more like a face cream than a name.

Someone on this board came up with the combination Maxima Ines. To die for gorgeous.
