[Opinions] Re: Aza and Henry
in reply to a message by Hannah
Aza is not my favorite - is it pronounces az-ah or like Asia?
I like Henry a lot, especially as a first name. Henry Alcides is interesting and I like Henry Gabriel. I prefer unusual names that are actually names, so I'd like names like Henry Ambrose, Henry Neville, Henry Elias or Henry Erasmus better.
I also like Max and Zeb and possibly Dax (prefer Dex) as nicknames.

I pronounce Aza like Ava (but with a z, obviously). I originally thought of it because I liked Ava but it's becoming popular and my last name starts with V so it didn't sound right. Aza is also derived from the Hebrew word "azer" which means helper; I have it tattooed on my wrist and it's an important reminder in my marriage. It's the same root word that Ezra is derived from.
