I live about an hour away from the city of Bristol, and it's not really a place I'd want to name my child after, lol.

I don't think that anyone who has ever been to Bristol would use the name. ;)

It seems to be popular with people who have never been to the UK.

Hey, what's wrong with Bristol?! It's such a beautiful city! OK, some parts...

Fantastic place to grow up (for me), obviously wouldn't use the name... that would be weird...

Is it the same with Brooklyn? Where I grew up (Cape Town), it was the most sleazy suburb imaginable! And I don't even know what the New York one is like; but I wonder if there are little kids called Brooklyn living in it, or if they're all in the Midwest or somewhere.
