Hello, Clarice.
It reminds me of Jodie Foster's character Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs. It is very evocative of fava beans and a nice chianti. ;-)
The movie character came to mind for me first but ultimately it's strongest connotation is just of the bird. I think because a starling is a real, familiar thing that would be enough to keep people from mixing it up with Sterling.
Inasmuch as I don't mind the idea I don't really like the name, though. It sounds just a bit too cheesy for me. Like how Rose and Iris are on one side of the fence, but Dandelion totally crosses a line. Or Orion and Stella versus Morningstar, a similar concept that I find incredibly tacky on a real person (I've met two). Lark or Robin are sweet to me but Starling is not quite striking the same note.
