[Opinions] Re: Sybil?
It's too Sally-Field-with-multiple-personalities for me. :b (Most of you are probably too young to remember the movie "Sybil" but anyway...) I also think of Cybil Shepherd, whom I find annoying. All in all, it's not a bad name, though. If I met a young girl with this name and she was happy & sweet, it could change my view of it, definitely. :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of that...(m)Usually, when I mention the Sybil, of the Flora Rheta Schreiber book, I get blank stares. I've never seen the movie, though. It's just reassuring to know that I'm not completely prematurely old or anything. :DArray

Well, I'm quite a bit older than you and I only knew of the movie, not the book. :b Though, I think I did realize it was a true story so it doesn't surprise me that it was based on a book. Don't worry about being prematurely old. I think knowing about popular culture of the past makes us more mature and knowledgable. :) I grew up in the 1980s, but my parents were in their 40s when they had me and I grew up around teenage siblings. So I still have tastes that are "way before my time". I can't tell you how many times I reference music, tv shows or movies from the 60s and 70s (yes, before my time) and people my age or close to it constantly say, 'Wuh?' It's annoying. LOL.
