Florence has graduated early from High School - she was bumped up a grade back in elementary school and had been taking two courses over the summer since she started High School. She has been looking at schools over in B.C. but has decided to stay at home for a year and find work instead of heading off to university right away. She wants to be there for her younger siblings for the time being.
Talon has joined the wrestling team in his High School and gets average marks. He has a large group of friends and has had several girlfriends over the past two years. He has calmed down some since his childhood but still dreams of being in the military once he graduates.
Astrid has run into a lot of emotional problems over the last year or so and as such her optomistic nature has diminished. Rosa often chides her, saying that she's too negative. Astrid responds that she's just being realistic, which is where Florence pipes in that no, she's being negative. Roland and Delilah have been considering sending Astrid to a counsellor but have been procrastinating.
Rosa, same as her eldest sister, has always had a thirst for knowledge. She is currently reading adult novels - all of which Delilah or Florence screen first to make sure that there isn't too much gore or any sexual situations - and has been bumped up two grade levels. She often helps out her younger siblings with their homework and enjoys helping her Mother care for the new baby.
Nia, as she now insists upon being called, is still a tomboy. She pokes fun at Astrid and Florence for the make-up they put on the 'girly' clothes they wear. The neighbour's boy is her best friend in the whole world and she taught him to climb a tree recently.
Jerramy has stopped accidently hurting his siblings for the most part but Roland and Delilah sometimes get calls from his school saying that he was bullying some other children. They have told him that such behaviour is unacceptable and are confidant that, given time, he will stop.
Schuyler, while he loves to read, has been falling behind in math and science. Rosa and Florence have been helping him but he sometimes gets up in the middle of when they're talking and walks over to a window or a bookshelf to pick up a small book or magazine. This frustrates the girls to no end.
The Rogers adopted a baby boy approximately five years ago. Like Florence and Rosa he is excellent at school and has already been bumped up to first grade. Delilah thinks that they should bump him up to second grade but Roland is against it at the moment.
They also adopted a baby girl, about four years ago. Alana hates wearing shoes and loves long skirts and loose tops. She can and does spend long hours just lying outside on the grass whenever she's able and absolutely hates staying inside a building for more than a few hours at a time.
Only three years after having Schuyler, Delilah and Roland got lucky when she found herself pregnant - with twins no less! The boy, Ariel, is quieter than his younger sister, Logan, and lets her drag him around instead of leading but he rather likes it most of the time.
They adopted a baby girl who hasn't said a word since the day she was born. She still cries and can convey what she wants well enough, all of her older siblings, and even Jake sometimes, talk for her. Delilah is convinced that Georgiana is perfectly normal and just chooses not to talk while Roland believes that she is mute.
They also adopted a baby boy, less than a year ago, Jake is a sweet boy who has a short temper. Delilah and Roland had decided on a longer name for him but upon seeing him decided to scrap the old name and settled on Jake Blaine. The monosyllabic names are perfect since he rarely speaks in full sentences or uses long words.
Delilah and Roland have adopted their last child, a baby girl whom they named Lennie. They doubt that Delilah is going to fall pregnant again but have decided that fourteen children is more than enough. Lennie will probably be spoiled by all of her older siblings but she seems to be enjoying it so far.
