Clarisse and Vanessa decide to adopt, but the process is not an easy one, especially for an unmarried lesbian couple. They are open to adopting a child of any age and from any country and background. With two boys in the household already, they would prefer a girl to become part of the family. Finally, they find their new daughter only a few miles from their hometown. Rachel was given up for adoption at birth, but because she has deformed legs that will need a lot of medical care, therapy and training, it has been difficult to find a family for her. Clarisse and Vanessa aren't doing great financially themselves, but they are determined to do whatever they can to help Rachel grow and be happy. There's only the problem with the last name... they decide on Clarisses', but the discussion has made them begin thinking about marriage...
Oh, right a description. Rachel is the most adorable two year old you could find. She has curly brown hair and dark, warm eyes that light up when she laughs, and that she does a lot. She is generally a very happy and curious child, learns most things quickly, but doesn't get frustrated if she doesn't. She's seeing a physiotherapist to help her learn to walk and will probably have to have corrective surgery more than once as she grows, but the family is positive she will be able to deal with it well.
