Gah I just love your naming style :)
Freya,
Ronan and
Lir all in one sibset?? I die.
I looooove Llyr/Lir/Lear and have the same problem in deciding which spelling I prefer. I think....
In theory I prefer
Llyr - It looks the nicest and is the most "legit" spelling.
In practice I prefer
Lir - It doesn't look as complete but appears simpler to deal with.
But I dunno! Now that I look at them next to each other I think
Lir might face the same sort or pronunciation problems as
Llyr. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ok, I do think
Lir makes more sense phonetically and would therefore probably be easier for a kid to learn/spell.
Lear could be ok. I don't think the association with
King Lear is so bad. But I wouldn't mind being named after a Shakespearian character of any degree. I just personally wouldn't use it because of how close in spelling it is to "leer"
