Don and Thea live in Brooklyn, NY.

Year 1: Don grew up riding horses, but didn't think they could have one since they live in the city. The Kelseys decide to buy a horse and keep it at Don's parents house in the country. Her name is Georgia and she is a 4 year old, 15 hand palomino. Don is enjoying teaching Thea to ride on the weekend!

Year 2: Thea has finished her novel! She after spending the year sending it to publishers, it was finally accepted! Thea couldn't be happier, and Don couldn't be prouder!

Year 3: Having completed her book, Thea decided to look for a new job. She is now working for a publishing firm in NYC. She's not through with writing altogether, however!

Year 4: Don and Thea adopted a new dog! He is an adorable Brittany spaniel mix named Norton, and he loves the sights and sounds of the city as well as heading out to the country on the weekends for a good run!

Year 5: Don and Thea went on an amazing 3 week trip to Australia and New Zealand!

Year 6: Don and Thea had an unexpected souvenir from their trip last year. While they were there, they conceived a child! While it was a surprise, they had been discussing whether it was time for a baby anyhow, so they are thrilled. They are pleased to welcome Hattie Blythe Kelsey. She weighed 8 lb. 4 oz. at birth and has brown, wavy hair like her parents and green eyes. Norton loves his new sister!

Year 7: Thea was laid off from her job in publishing, so she has decided to stay home with Hattie and get to work on another novel for the time being.

Year 8: Don and Thea needed a little break, so they went on a week-long vacation to Costa Rica, while Thea's parents looked after Hattie. They enjoyed their time away, but were happy to get back home to Hattie. They didn't expect how much they would be thinking and worrying about her while they were gone!

Year 9: Don and Thea decided it was time for Hattie to have a sibling! What they didn't expect was to give her 2 siblings! Don, Thea, and Hattie welcomed fraternal twin boys, Johnny Levi Kelsey and Leon Marshall Kelsey. Johnny weighed 6 lb. 4 oz. at birth and has red (auburn, really), wavy hair and green eyes. Leon weighed 6 lb. 1 oz. and has brown, curly hair and green eyes. They now have a full house!

Year 10: Don's maternal grandfather, James Lawrence Donovan, the children's only remaining great-grandparent, dies of a heart attack at age 90. Don and his family are devastated.

Year 11: On Don's parents' farm, one of the goats gives birth to twin kids. Don's parents, Mary and Vince, give one of the kids to 5 year-old Hattie (although the kid remains on the farm). It is a female goat, which Hattie names Lulu.

Year 12: After much consideration, Don and Thea decide to move their family from Brooklyn. They buy their own farm north of the city. Don will continue to commute.
