DW: (25) Eva Rosalía Moreno Gallo
Hair: curly black
Eyes: blue
Job: humanitarian - emergency aid coordinator
DH: (25) Mark Iván Robledo
Hair: wavy brown
Eyes: Hazel
Job: UN worker - marketing specialist for UNICEF
Location: Madrid, Spain
2014:
Mark and Eva met in college at an international conference for students seeking jobs in humanitarian/human aid work. Eva was representing her university from Spain, while Mark came from his school in the U.S. Mark's father is originally from Spain, so he enjoyed mingling with Eva's delegation. They stayed in touch and even began dating long-distance. Mark found a job in Madrid after graduation, and Eva moved from her native Barcelona to be closer to him. They just got married this year. Eva coordinates emergency aid for the Spanish government, while Mark works in marketing for UNICEF in Spain. However, not long after the wedding, Mark learned that he had been given a new position as a spokesperson for UNICEF, which means that he will represent the organization at official functions and issue official statements.
2015:
Though Mark and Eva's apartment is small, they decide to adopt a pet. They take in a small dog and named him Vito.
2016:
Mark and Eva open their home to their first child, through adoption! They welcome an eight-year-old boy from India named Naveen Rohan. Naveen loves animals and wants to be a teacher. No one knows what happened to his parents, but Naveen is a very happy boy. He is excited to learn Spanish and meet his new family.
2017:
Mark gets the chance to attend an event in South Korea with UNICEF, so Eva and Naveen take time off work and school to go with him. The Robledos enjoy being in a new place together and taking their first vacation as a family.
2018:
For his birthday, Naveen wants a pet of his own. He specifically asks for a snake, after making friends with a classmate who has a snake as a pet. He names it Rayas.
2019:
Eva is pleasantly surprised to discover that she is pregnant! Naveen and Mark are also excited to have a new member of the family. A little girl, Jacinta Soledad, is born, with straight brown hair and blue eyes.
2020:
Mark still keeps up with a friend who is a professor in the U.S. His friend contacts the Robledos and asks them if they will host a college student who is coming to study in Spain for a semester. The family gladly accepts. Allie Tomblin, who is in her third year of college, is studying Spanish and marketing. She loves her time in Madrid, and even gets to observe Mark and Eva at their jobs.
2021:
Eva is pregnant again, this time with a boy! Félix Rafael has curly black hair and hazel eyes.
2022:
Eva is invited to attend a conference in the Netherlands, so she brings her family with her. Mark keeps the kids busy while Eva is in meetings during the day, and they all hang out together at night. Mark and Eva are so glad that they can expose their children to so many different cultures.
2023:
After giving birth to two children, Eva thinks that she would recognize the signs of pregnancy if she has another child, but she doesn't find out that she is pregnant until she is four months along! To top it all off, she is having quadruplets! All four girls are born perfectly healthy. Clarisa Dolores and Ysabel Carolina have curly brown hair and brown eyes, Gisela Ximena has wavy brown hair and hazel eyes, and Nieves Estela has straight brown hair and blue eyes.
2024:
Mark has been a UNICEF spokesman for the last ten years, but he applies for a new job and is hired! He now works under the UN researching child welfare issues in Europe and how they might be resolved. His experience working for UNICEF has prepared him well for this new position.
2025:
Though their financials have recently been strained with the birth of the quads, Mark and Eva have saved enough money to buy a new house! The house is a little outside of Madrid, but Mark and Eva can still easily commute to their jobs. They kids love having a little more space, especially since Clary, Ysa, Gisela, and Nieves have just turned two and run completely wild.
2026:
Spain is struck by a severe earthquake, so Eva's job immediately goes into overdrive. Luckily, she has prepared the family well for emergencies, and they all stay safe. Their home suffers some damage, but the Robledos are thankful to have made it through the disaster together.
2027:
Despite the large size of their family, the Robledos decide to welcome another child into their home via adoption. They adopt a one-year-old girl from China who was abandoned by her family, since they violated the one-child policy. She has not been given a formal name yet, so they call her Elvira Josefina.
2028:
Eva decides to go back to school to earn a doctoral degree in public administration. She hopes to someday run all emergency aid activities for Spain, and getting this degree will help her along the way.
2029:
Mark and Eva write a book about what they call "our global family." Members of the family originate from four different countries and have traveled around the world. The book also incorporates Mark and Eva's global experiences from their respective jobs and how their careers have impacted their family and outlook on life.
