I've always liked the sound of it too.
I read somewhere that short male names make a man seem more attractive as well as more reliable and trustworthy.
It is popular but not as overused as some names, and the current popularity has removed the 'man with long white beard under a rainbow' image. It would age well on someone but doesn't seem out of place on a young person.
Other male biblical names I quite like are
Seth
Isaac
Nathan
Simeon
Zach (Zachery)
