I stress the first syllable, just like in the English word.
I do quite like
Lilac, especially since I am fond of bold floral names (i.e.
Amaryllis, Begonia,
Marigold,
Petunia, etc).
Lilac has the added benefit of having a specific color and scent memory for people, besides being short and recognizable to the general public. It's one of the better flower names in my opinion.
I considered using it to honor my grandmother
Lila, so, yeah, I think it is usable.
