Is it pronounced with an English "y" sound in Dutch? Like Yasmin? And is it common in the Netherlands? Just interested :-)

Jasmijn is not uncommon, I've known some girls named Jasmijn. It's pronounced like this: yahs-MIEN (the ij is always pron. as IE, the J as Y)
To my sweet muse
Every time you rip my heart out
Every time you break it
I pick up the pen I hold in my hands
And write the most beautiful poems
But you know what
If it's alright by you
I'd rather be happy than a poet
Every time you rip my heart out
Every time you break it
I pick up the pen I hold in my hands
And write the most beautiful poems
But you know what
If it's alright by you
I'd rather be happy than a poet

Well that explains a lot. Then I'm personally fine with the spelling.
