I like it a lot, the meaning is beautiful and sounds very mature to me. I actually didn't know about the Disney movie, that's cool!
I'm sure it will gain in some popularity in the west, but I don't think it's going to get a massive popularity rush like Elsa did. Elsa is a lot more identifiable by western standards, Moana is still very "weird", even if it's a new princess.
