Exactly my thoughts, haha!
Finnavere sounds strange. Like something from the Arthur legends, but ugly.

I....I don't understand. What the hell is Finnavere? Is it supposed to be a smush of Finn and Guinevere? That's stupid.

I would have preferred they just name her Finnlily if that's what they were going to call her anyways.

I don't like Finn on a girl.

Looks and sounds like a drunk person saying "finally"

Finnavere is way too cute, like a name someone would give a dog.

It's not that I don't see the appeal ... I do. I just think they missed the mark.
Guinevere Lily / Gwen-Lily would have been interesting.

But I don't know, what is its origin...?
I think it's a good name with a very beautiful sound.
And with MN Lily is more delicate...

But I don't like the NN Finnily...it seems a pet name.

Agreed. I also think the parents ...

are going to have an uphill battle trying to get Finnlily to stick because most won't know her mn upfront and even if they do, they'll need to be instructed to call her by both names.

I don't really know what to make of it. Also Finnlily is a mouthful of a nickname, it's really awkward to say. The kid is probably gonna end up going by Finn or Lily... or maybe even Vera.
