[Opinions] BA - Friend's from FB
Two of my FB friends just had a child a week or two ago.
One is a little boy who has been named Carver. His mother is a semi famous American Indian carver. I met her twice through college classes and I love her work. I think it is a really cute name.
My second friend just had a daughter whose fn is Adalaine. It apparently is a slightly different spelling of his wife's grandmother's name - I asked what her grandmother's name is and never got a reply. I just love the name Adalaine though I personally slightly prefer the spelling Adelaine. It reminds me of a few names I like; Adeline, Adelaide, and Elaine. I actually like Adelaine more than Adelaide since the second D has always felt a bit off to me.
Just wanted to share these birth announcements because they were such unusual choices and I like them.

Favorite Names:
Leona, Fiona, Artemis, Hazel, Luna, Serafina, Vivian, Dorothea, Stella, Aurora, Ursa, Clara, Augustine, Iris, Maeve, Citrina, Eleanor, Maple, Callisto
Kieran, Rowan, Cedar, Connor, Arthur, Magnus, Finn, Theron, Xavier, Teagan, Quinn, Cedric, Adrian, Julian, Tristan, Gavin, Gryphon

I mean, the story behing Carver is kind of sweet but only because I know the story and no one is going to tell the story to everyone they meet to make the name usable. Without the story it just makes me think of a butchering serial killer.
Lol!
The first thing I think when I hear the name Carver is of the annoying brother character named Carver in the video game Dragon Age 2. Your decisions decide whether your sister or your brother lives in the beginning of the game. My husband and I when we both played ended up saving our character's sister Bethany rather than the constantly complaining Carver. Technically I think Bethany died in his first play through but he regretted it.
