I have a niece named Kennedy but it's a family surname. It was the maiden name of brother's-in-law mother. He used it to honor her. I think Judith would have been better but Kennedy is also a family name on my husband's side. It raised a LOT of eyebrows when they used it.

Interesting, indeed - thank you!
I'm a bit puzzled by a couple of things, though. Did they really count babies who were named Jimmy during the Carter presidency? What happened to James? And, indeed, to Carter! They seem to be focusing on given names rather than surnames, which is fine for Roosevelt and Eisenhower (I hope!) but not for Reagan, Carter and Clinton.
And I've also started wondering: would it be worse to be an atheist named Christian or a Bernie Sanders supporter named Reagan?

for that matter ...
I doubt there'll be any Baracks or Obamas either, or at least not enough to make any kind of impact statistically.
