This year was a long-awaited event - Xavier's inheritance of the throne! The people are overjoyed; he is even more popular than his father. Furthermore, he took a bride this year, to the surprise of both of their families - the Portugese Infanta, Isabel Ana-Maria Joana! She has taken her new Castillian name and become part of the royal family. Apparently, they had been happy playmates at diplomatic meetings for many years and had finally fallen in love. Isabel is a sweet, pretty and occasionally slightly mischievous young woman who is delighted to be marrying her true love. Xavier, it seems, feels quite the same way.
