Sadly, Jared and Anna passed away within one year of each other just recently. It was a hard time for the whole family.
April and Ben have gotten married. Neither of them have ever had children, even though it is the second marriage for them both, but they are content with having each other's company.
Thomas recently left Iris for a girl at his work who is 20 years his junior and only 3 years older than his oldest son. This didn't surprise his ex-wife or older children but unfortunately it did shock Iris and his younger girls. He is now married to her and wants to start his third family with her. Two of his sons are now engaged.
Sarah is also wanting to be married for a third time. After the last time was such a disaster, she wasn't looking for another husband but Austen chased her for months and she finally went on a date with him. They are now engaged. Her son Elijah is still engaged to Allie. The family were surprised when Maya began dating someone 10 years older than her, in fact, they were against it. Maya and Chester, however, knew how they felt about each other and are now happily married.
