I used to hate it. I thought it sounded unattractive, old and dowdy. But since reading Percy Jackson I sort of like it. I would never use it but I think it's cute now. Without the character I would still hate it. I can't stand Beth at all and usually don't like names that include it. Bethany sounds friendly enough but I dislike Bethan, Mary-Beth etc.
