Sam and Shilo met working on a construction project together, as Shilo and he were both assistants at the time. They decided to get married after a year of dating. They worked together onsite until Shilo became pregnant. They had a girl who they named Ava, taking after her father with very Asian features (since Sam's ancestors are from Japan).
A few years later, River was born, taking after her Irish descended mother with red hair and keeping the gray eyes of her father. Shilo decided to stay at home. She is thinking about going back to work after the kids are grown.
When Shilo and Sam decided they wanted a third baby, hoping for a son, they got a fourth and fifth as well! Although the triplets were a big surprise, Sam's saved vacations allowed him more time at home to help Shilo. There is a person for each baby, though, with Shilo, Ava, and River. Sawyer gets her blonde hair from Shilo's side (of course there are English ancestors, didn't you see her maiden name?) while Josie and Noah take mostly after the Takahashi side. Sawyer has her father's tell-tale gray eyes though, while Josie sports hazel and Noah light brown. The Takahashis are in for a lot of adventure in the coming years!
