[Opinions] Nicknames/lengthened names for Lysbie
I need your help. The main character in the book that I'm writing right now is named Lysbie (LIZ-bee) Kerrigan. Like me, she loves names but doesn't really like her own name. So she decides to lengthen it and combine it with a name that she loves. (Sidenote my name is Nina and I didn't used to like it, so I lengthened it to Ninabella because of my love for the name Isabella. See what I did there?) Lysbie loves the names Sophie, Emily, Vivian, Camilla and their variants. How could you combine the name Lysbie with those names and/or their variants to create an unusual but doable nickname/lengthened name? RULE/HINT: The nickname/lengthened name needs to be easy to say. I think Lysphie (Lysbie/Sophie) could work. OR COULD SHE JUST GO WITH LYS??

I think Lys works great.
For combinations, it ok to tweak the spelling ?
Lysbie + Sophie = Solys, Lysfie, Sosbie,
Lysbie + Emily = Emsby, Emmibee, Emiliss, Lisemille
Lysbie + Vivian = Lysian, Vivbie, Visby, Vivlis
Lysbie + Camilla = Cambie, Limilla, Lisbilla, Camlys
Of those combos, I like Lisemille, Visby, Camlys, Lysian, Emiliss, and Sosbie, but my favorite is Solys.

Cool! I'm glad I could help you out!
I would stick with the original spellings. I also could potentially use Vysbie.
Thanks!!! I like Lysphie/Lysfie and Lysian.
