In order from best to worst:
I love Clementine.
I love Mirabelle.
Xenia is pretty but Zinnia looks better and I love flower names.
Emmeline is so much better than Emma and slightly better than Caroline - and I like Emma and Caroline in their own right.
Matilda is fine.
Sheila is not flattering.
I think Roselyn is boring.
I don't like the sound of Frances, but I do like Francine.
I don't like the sound or look of Genevieve.
I like Genevieve, Emmeline and Clementine :)
I'm not really huge on any of these except Clementine. I only like Frances because of its nicknames (I love Frankie and Fran). Xenia is the only one I outright dislike. The others are all fine but not up my alley.
I LOVE Emmeline, Genevieve, and Mirabelle. Xenia is cool, but I prefer Xena. Matilda is a good name. I dislike the rest, and I particularly hate Frances. I don’t understand how that name has stayed around for so long.
Clementine - I know one whose parents spelt it Clementene to be sure of the pronunciation they preferred! She's cute and nice and so's her name.
Frances - I dislike Fran, which they all seem to become. I far prefer Francis for a boy
Xenia - pronounced ZENya. I don't have any feelings about it, either way.
Sheila - pleasant name; pity it's dated.
Roselyn - not a Rose name I'd choose at all. Rosalyn looks better, but not good enough.
Mirabelle - no. Mirabel, if necessary, but that extra -le makes it flabby.
Matilda - best dog I ever had; known as Matt the Mutt. On a human, I like the nn Tilly.
Emmeline - over-elaborate. Emily is far preferable.
Genevieve - not bad; there are better ways to have an Eve daughter, and Jennifer is best for Jenny. Genny looks silly.
I like all of the names in varying degrees but I would change two things: Rosalyn should be spelled Rosalind and Mirabelle should be Mirabel. Now, I'm a happy woman! 😁
I like Clementine, Roselyn, Mirabelle, Matilda, Emmeline and Genevieve.
