It's nice but the spelling looks off with a Z.

I like it. I think it would work in a non-German area just fine. They might just put the emphasis on the wrong syllable (like LOR-enz).

In German, Laurenz would be LOW-Rents, where Low rhymes with how, and Lorenz would be LOR-ents. And they're fine in Germany. But elsewhere, they come complete with pronunciation issues which make them worth avoiding.
