I definitely consider the name
Sadie as one of my favorites. I think that it's very nice and old-fashioned; an underused, classy name at that. It makes me think of a farm girl, who lived in the 1910s; she has long, red, curly hair and a gazillion freckles. She's a bit of a spitfire, very stubborn, loves to build things, loves to dance, and loves to grow flowers. For a while, the fact that you could make the words "sad" and "die" bothered me, but not anymore...it's
Sadie, not Saddie! I have only met one girl named
Sadie in my entire life (though, she is two years younger than me), and she was also a sweet joy to be around.
