[Opinions] Angelic and Hallelujah
I came across someone called Angelic recently (a girl). It surprised me and felt refreshing in comparison to Angelica, Angela and Angel (though I like those too).
I also heard the name Hallelujah on a boy on TV, which also intrigued me.
What do you think of these two?
:)

They’re terrible and I would assume the parents are fundie Christians.
I agree
I don't really like either. I think that Angelle would have been a better alternative. An alternative for Hallelujah is tricky, though. Maybe Fortune or Rejoice? I don't like those either in the normal sense. I appreciate that they stand out and are meaningful to the parents, but I also find them to be... really out-there.
Some people's reaction to these two names might be negative initially, but only because they seem so abnormal. However, after some thought, I think both of these could work serviceably as someone's first name.
Concerning the name "Angelic", it fits perfectly into the adjective name category, and for that reason alone it can be considered pretty normal. If a person seems angelic, their name can very well be Angelic. Nicknames would vary similarly to other "angel-" names, i.e., "Angie".
Hallelujah works as a name because it is a Hebrew interjection that roughly translates to "Praise God", and could fit right alongside any other popular Hebrew name. However, whether it is masculine or feminine, I'm not sure. You said the character in the TV show was a boy, but in my mind Hallelujah seems feminine (perhaps because it ends with '-ah'). Nicknames could be fun with this name; "Hallie" immediately comes to mind, or "Lu", or even "Lulu" for an even greater endearing tone. (if you prefer to think of Hallelujah as masculine, nicknames could include "Hal")
Overall, I think both would work as names despite their irregularity.

I agree with guasguendi that Angelic is pretentious. I’ve found that most people named Angel, Lady etc are quite the opposite of their name.
Hallelujah is a expression and an expression of worship which makes it worse. Best case scenario his parents are Leonard Cohen fans

I think they're both very interesting and I don't mind either. I wouldn't use them but I'd be excited to meet someone with the names. I don't think that they're nearly as bad as a lot of invented names nowadays.
Hallelujah is extra, but I like that about it. It's melodic and sorta in the same vein as Gloria, Jubilee, Hosanna. I think Halle and Lou are likable as potential NNs.
Angelic seems like a missed opportunity for Angelique or Celestial...at least, that's how I think I'd feel if that was my name. I'd prefer Halo or Heavenly, too, but I like it better than Divine. It would be interesting to come across.

Hallelujah isn’t really my thing. If the parents liked the sound of Angelic, they could have gone with Angelique. I don’t love most Angel- names, though I really like Angela.
Angelic is pretentious; Angelique is better as a name. As for Hallelujah, it's over-the-top.
Hallelujah is over-ambitious. I imagine Angelic is pronounced like the adjective; if so, I vastly prefer Angelique, and if not, then why not just use Angelique?
Don't like either
I think the problem is Angelic is an adjective used to describe something. Wouldn't be much different than naming your daughter 'Heavenly' or 'Dreamy.' Hallelujah is an exclamation/noun and just doesn't jive as a real name.
I don't like either. Angelic would be a hard name to live up to.
I can sort of see the appeal of Angelic, but it's too in-your-face, over-the-top sappy, when Angel and Angelica are already skating pretty close to that territory. Angelic also looks like a typo and the final a in Angelica was left off by accident.
Hallelujah is just dumb. Like a joke name. I would feel really silly addressing anyone as Hallelujah, just as I would feel addressing someone as Wow or Timber or Fore!

I'm not a fan of either.
