I love medieval names, too.
I just looked at the masculine ones for now since the list is so long (might comment on feminine ones later)...
Alcides /
Alcide is randomly one of my favorite names recently.
Alkibiades is fancy looking in comparison.
Abascantus / Abaskantos is interesting to me. So are Artizar,
Auberi, Azubeli,
Arioald,
Ascelin, and Aligern - Alagern has been in my head lately.
Arioald reminds me of Ariovalda, which I like.
I've liked Abelard and Autolycus (mainly as GPs) since I was a kid but don't remember where I first heard them - wait, actually Autolycus was the
King of Thieves in the tv shows
Xena and
Hercules...
I like
Aesop, Askell/Asketel,
Athanaric, Athenodorus,
Antiochus, and
Aloysius as GPs. I wonder if the usage of
Estel (as masculine) in my extended family was from Askell/Astell (I've seen
Asketill before but not Astell; previously
Estel just reminded me of
Estelle and
Aragorn "
Estel" from Tolkien).
Aldebrand reminds me of Halbrand (aka
Sauron from Rings of Power) and Aldebaran (a star in
Taurus plus a fallen angel in the Book of
Enoch). Alderan reminds me of Alderaan (the fictional planet) and
Alder.
I like
Alphaeus,
Amadeus,
Aeolus,
Amias, Amyris,
Arnold,
Armand, Artemas,
Artemios,
Artemidoros.
Aimeric,
Arsenius, and Absolon are ok, but I would prefer
Emeric,
Arsenio, and
Absalom.
