Click on Aveline: It's not AY-vah-leen, the first syllable is said with a short "a". That's how BtN said it's pronounced, at least, and I've heard of the name before coming to this site and always understand it to be AV-ah-leen not AY-vah-leen (or av-a-LEEN, as it says here).
