So it was a good one, then?? I'm glad to hear that. I had a great one, too. Derek was very good to me. Treated me like a princess. :)He got me a really sweet card that had a black couple holding eachother on it! It was really funny. He always goes directly to that section in Walgreens. For Christmas , I got a Kwanza card!! LOL I got to see the fireworks but Derek kept yelling at me because I was taking pictures of them!!

A thought on photographs, lights and people
Photographs are often so disappointing when one tries to take pictures of light. They never show what one did see.
After alot of disappiontments with the ability of photography to capture what I see I have come to agree, with myself at least, that it generally is only worth to photograph people.
Not that the camera captures people as they look either but one can compare pictures of people over time and that is interesting and funny, I think.
Perhaps professionals can make the camera picture for them what they see, but I cannot. It appears to me that the naturalistic painters often come closer than the camera to how things really look.
But that may of course just be a personal experience.
