Re: Dolce means "sweet" in Italian (nt)
Kidwell looks like an English place-name, but I can't find one. There is a Welsh place-name, Kidwelly, but surnames from Welsh place-names are not all that common. Kidwelly means "Cadwal's land", Cadwal being a man's name. Which raises the question - if Cadwal's land is englished as Kidwelly, might not the forename Cadwal be englished as Kidwell? Cad, the first component of this name means "battle"; I don't know the meaning of the -wal component.
