Re: Snab/Snabs - Snub/Snubs (English)
in reply to a message by Paul "1"
I can find no evidence of any of these as extant surnames.
There are (minor) places named Snab on both sides of the Anglo-Scots border.
Snab is an old Scots dialect word for a shoemaker, but not old enough to have become a surname, I think.

Just to say thanks, Jim
I suspect these are dialectal or a corrupted form of a earlier name, however i cannot guess what?
