Munzlinger and Rabon

Munzlinger sounds German indeed. It would originally refer to someone coming from Munzligen - but this place-name obviously doesn't exist (any more). It was probably located in the south of Germany or maybe in Switzerland. "Münze" means "coin", so there may once have been a mint at Munzlingen. On the other hand the name could be from "munt" (protection), but this is just wild guessing.
