I have no information on these people in particular but the Griebelers seem to come from the Rheinland-Pfalz region of Germany as you can see at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp. For example, many of them come from Daun which you can situate at http://tr.im/NMop. Franziska is German for Frances as you can see at http://tr.im/NMmq.
