Re: Lyren?

Lyren is the plural of Lyra (German for “lyre”). Forebears lists it as a surname, but there seems to be only 87 people bearing it. I’m guessing it has about the same usage as a first name since it’s so uncommon. Hope this helped at least a bit!

Lyren is a Swedish place-name, and Lyrén (slight difference in spelling)is a Swedish surname, though not a common one. Whether the two are related I cannot say.

Thanks! I didn't know Swedish used that particular accent mark.
