Southern French: from the past participle of condir from Latin conditio ‘seasoning’, ‘flavoring’, hence probably an occupational name or nickname for a cook.
Rickman
variant of Richman 1.
from an Old English personal name Ricmund, composed of the elements ric ‘rich’ + mund ‘protection’.
German: variant of Richmann (see Richman).
