Help with the Meaning of this last name?

I've scoured Google for the meaning of this name, but no dice. It's Thoeni, and I know there were supposed to be two dots above the 'o', and its pronounced TER-ni. It is a Swiss-German name.
Any contributions to the origin or meaning would be greatly appreciated.

Thoeni/Thöni has the same origin as Thoeny which you'll find at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/Thoeny-family-history.ashx
