you could also try google translate on a phone using the camera, with that you can get an attempted reading straight from the written form you have without the need to input it. If it's in cursive, it might have trouble with the OCR, but may also give you a direct transliteration you can check.
This idea worked well with the father's names and came up with the same thing I did. However, it did not even recognize any of the three names for the mother. I guess my writing is really bad because it stated that it could not find any Bulgarian when I tried scanning it several times. I used to write it when we sent mail and never had trouble with them.

Thank you for this idea. I will try it. I wrote the names years ago and they are partially cursive, but not really because the letters are not connected. I am really having trouble with the first letter of the mother's middle name. It doesn't really match anything I am seeing online.
