Meaning
I'd really appreciate it if anyone knew anything of the name Sutryk.
As far as I know it's polish, although that may not be right.
Also, I'd like any information on the name Garrison, if anyone could help.
thanks in advance,
Rose.

From a Russian name site that I use for Slavic names, it looks like the root of Sutryk may be related to Suda, or "judge".Garrison is rather obvious, from a French word meaning somethinbg like "troops that are in a fort"

GarrisonReaney and Wilson give other explanations for Garrison - either from the place-name Garriston in North Yorkshire, or from Garretson, "son of Gerrard".

Interesting ...my reply was just from a baby name book ...but they often don't list any additional possibilities ...
