McCobb
Any information on the meaning of McCobb? It's rare, I believe it belongs to Northern Ireland today (Donegal, Derry), though it may be Ulster-Scots rather than Irish Gael.

According to MacLysaght, the surname Cobbe, Cobb is used in Ireland (not MacCobb - but there is probably some relation). It is derived from the given name Jacob.---------------------------------------
