Re: origin of name
in reply to a message by Steve
The origin of this surname is not so clear. It could be Czech or probably russian? In Croatia there are Sivic families.

Sivich (correct spelling Sivic with a sign on the "c") can be a Serbian or Croatian or Bosnian family name. In France (or in an English-speaking country) the name Sivic is pronounced Sivik and could be misspelled in that way.

"Siv" means "grey" in Serbo-Croation.
