Montanaro & DeLellis
Can anyone find the meaning of these surnames, though is safe to bet that Montanaro has something to do with Mountains, but the surname DeLellis has left me totally clueless.They both should be Italian.

Montanaro is spread botn in Northern and Southern Italy and means "a man coming from a mountainous area.
De Lellis could be thsa a latin form of surnames like LELLI, that comes from masculin first names like Raffaello, Leonello, Donatello or Aurelio.
In Italy in 16th century it was a fashion to change its surname in a latin one
So Giudice could come Giudes, Filippi, De Filippis. Carli, Carolis or De Carolis, Lippi, Lippolis and so on.
