Just a guess ...but possibly related to ...Sobol
Polish and Czech: from sobol ‘sable’, a type of marten with handsome black fur; possibly a nickname but more often an occupational name for a fur trader.

The name is French, originally from France. Early spellings are:
Sabolle, Saboul, Sabol, Saball. Ancestors came from France to Canada.
