Hi, I'm looking for the orgin of my surname, Markowitz. No website seems to have any info on it, and I'm surprised considering it's not VERY uncommon. Can anyone help?

Mr. Markowitz, there are only one solution about your surname. It is Slav surname. Comes from ex-Yugoslavia or from Poland. I am from Serbia and lot of my friends have that surname. Even unpopular wife of ex-president of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic have name Mira MARKOVIC.
