Researching - Gowa & Fogh
Looking for information for two surnames.
Gowa - German-Jewish. Was told when I was younger that it was Goya (Spanish) long before the family's move to Germany, and was changed at some point in time to Gowa (family history that I have found thus far dates the Gowa's back to the late 1700-early 1800 in Germany). Not a lot of info on this name, as most family members were killed during WWII.
Fogh - Danish. My family came over in the late 1800's, but I know nothing else about the name (except that it seems fairly common).
Any useful info would be most appreciated. Thanks.
