Skene is a place near Aberdeen. According to Basil Cottle the name means "bush."
Kiernan or MacKiernan - Irish Mac Thighearnain (modern spelling MacThiarnain), "son of Tiernan." The basis of the given name is Tighearna, "lord." The letter H after the T indicaes that the T is not prnounced following Mac.
Re Gibb, I would just add that this surname is usually Scottish.
